Adam Cole left NXT after the conclusion of NXT TakeOver 36, where he lost to Kyle O’Reilly, bringing an end to their feud. Right after that, Adam Cole’s WWE contract also expired and thus he became a free agent.

Adam Cole decided to shock the world as he debuted at AEW All Out earlier this month and he couldn’t be happier. This is especially due to the fact that he is in the same company as his girlfriend AEW Women’s Champion Britt Baker.

The Panama City Playboy and Britt Baker have been together for quite a while now, but it seems things were not easy for Adam Cole at the beginning from the looks of it.

While speaking on Oral Sessions with Renee Paquette, Adam Cole revealed that Britt Baker was very hesitant about dating Adam Cole as she had apprehensions about dating a pro wrestler.

“So, funny enough, I think Britt Baker’s story, I’m assuming, it’s very accurate but is, even before Bumble, cause Bumble is where it all started; we were actually Facebook friends before that. We never had conversations there or anything. We had matched up on Bumble I guess cause she was in Hershey’s, Pennsylvania which is very close to where I was living at the time and she sent me a message saying ‘who’s this guy’ and it was my picture. So we had been talking back and forth and either I got busy or she got busy so it was like this back and forth discussion type of thing and I remember one day I reached out because I thought she was beautiful and I kept asking her for going on a date and she was very hesitant about it because she didn’t want to date a wrestler and I kept pressing the issue.”

Adam Cole also recently claimed that NXT was interested in signing Britt Baker. We will have to wait and see when Adam Cole and Britt Baker will be engaged in a storyline together now that they are finally in the same company.
