Jim Ross Says AEW’s Roster Rivals WWE’s Attitude Era

Jim Ross is very proud of the work that AEW has done over the short span of the company’s existence. They have accumulated stellar roster of hungry talent, and some huge names recently joined the fold. If you ask Good ‘ole JR, that roster rivals even the greatest in pro wrestling history.

Many fans regard the Attitude Era as the greatest roster in pro wrestling history. WWE had a stacked lineup of great stars including The Rock, Stone Cold, and The Undertaker. JR is of the opinion that AEW’s roster currently rivals even that historic group of talent.

While speaking on his Grilling JR show, the WWE Hall of Famer praised the AEW roster in a huge way while comparing it to WWE’s best offering.

“I thought that the Attitude Era roster was about as good as any roster anybody ever put together. I really do. But, boy, we’re coming into an age here now in AEW where our roster is going to rival any roster ever in televised pro wrestling. There’s a lot to look forward to in that regard.”

AEW has a lot of top stars, and a few of them actually wrestled for WWE during the Attitude Era. Mark Henry, Paul Wight, Christian Cage, and Dustin Rhodes come to mind in that regard.

We’ll have to see if they add any more huge stars to beef up their roster, but names like Bray Wyatt are still floating around the free agent market. As Ringside News exclusively reported, AEW and Wyatt have spoken.
