WWE debuted a new NXT 2.0 brand this week and Vince McMahon was not present. Ringside News exclusively reported that McMahon did go over the script with Ed Koskey, and Dave Meltzer confirmed this on Wrestling Observer Radio.

Shawn Michaels ran the show in Triple H’s absence, and Vince McMahon contributed in the ways he did remotely after reviewing the script. Dave Meltzer continued his discussion of McMahon and stated that he will continue this trend until he gets bored with NXT.

Vince did review the script of the show. He was involved in the creative of the show, but not there and he was not the key guy and everything like that. Whether that will be the case going forward, I doubt. I think it’s gonna be his toy until he gets bored with it, which will probably be pretty quick. Then who knows what the TV shows will look like?

Vince McMahon has a lot on his plate and he added NXT responsibilities to that laundry list of things he has to do. We will have to see if he continues to devote time toward NXT on a weekly basis. The Chairman cared enough this week to give the script a read and provide his expert input.
