WWE is preparing to unveil their new version of NXT tonight and fans will soon know what they have in store for the next incarnation of the company’s developmental brand. Samoa Joe’s injury is also big matter of debate, but we do know that Kevin Dunn is there to “personally oversee” the production. That didn’t help the atmosphere backstage.

According to a report from PW Insider, the overall backstage atmosphere within NXT is a strange one today. A lot of people showed up to work today and didn’t know what to expect. It sounds like there is still a lot going on to prepare for tonight’s show.

The atmosphere has been described as “weird” by talents we have heard from.

The script for tonight’s show was ripped up several times today and Women’s Title Match was also nixed in the process. All of that uncertainty has led to a new era of weirdness backstage in the black and gold brand as they are not sure at all how breaching into the paint-splatter era will change the world around them.
