Samoa Joe Was Set To Appear On WWE RAW Tonight

Samoa Joe vacated the NXT Title, citing undisclosed injuries. The NXT brand is going through big change, starting tomorrow, and Samoa Joe will not be the brand’s top name on September 14th. Original plans for RAW tonight were quite interesting, and they might have changed.

According to a report from Fightful Select, Samoa Joe was set to appear on RAW tonight. It’s unknown if those plans changed, but he was in the original script for the show.

This morning that an original Raw script called for him to actually appear on tonight’s show. We’re not sure what Joe was scheduled to do or if he’ll remain on the program, but we were told it was in relation to promoting the relaunch of NXT on Tuesday night.

We will have to see what happens on RAW tonight. They might have planned to bring Joe in to hype the new NXT starting tomorrow night. Now they will need a different tactic. Keep checking back with Ringside News as we continue monitoring this ongoing situation.
