WWE is set to debut a new version of NXT on September 14th, but there are still a lot of questions that remain. The new logo was revealed, and fans are curious. Right now there are far more questions than answers.

According to Fightful Select, even NXT Superstars have a lot of questions about what is going to happen next. “Numerous talent” asked higher-ups about the plans but “they were given non-answers.”

There is one very small detail, and that NXT specifically is hoping to have “more characters on the show. WWE doesn’t want wrestlers, because Vince McMahon needs characters he can market. This is one of the reasons why they have drifted away from their previous kick of signing up every hot indie name they could.

One of the few details provided in recent weeks was that NXT specifically was hoping to have “more characters,” although that appeared to be in a broad sense.

We will continue monitoring this situation here at Ringside News. The NXT brand is going through quite a change, but they don’t seem to be openly talking about anything at this juncture.
