WWE is rolling through the World’s Most Famous Arena this week for SmackDown, and they are bringing a supershow to Madison Square Garden. John Cena will also be there, but it isn’t confirmed that fans watching at home on FOX will see him.

The venue is advertising that Cena will team up with the Street Profits to face Roman Reigns and The Usos. This will likely be a dark match, taking place after the show is actually over just for the live fans in NYC.

Cena last wrestled at SummerSlam in a losing effort to Roman Reigns. It seemed as if he bid fans farewell after that, but he will likely be back. Hollywood commitments pulled Cena away from the ring and that called for another extended hiatus.

The Summer of Cena was fun, but it didn’t last forever. Now he is gone once again, but he will be back this Friday, even if he doesn’t appear on the blue brand’s weekly show.

Brock Lesnar will return to SmackDown next week and continue his storyline with Roman Reigns. Bianca Belair and Becky Lynch will also have a contract signing for Extreme Rules on September 26th. Also, Seth Rollins and Edge will have a SummerSlam rematch.
