Finn Balor Could Bring Back Demon Gimmick To Face Roman Reigns

Finn Balor is former 2-time NXT Champion and has competed in high profile matches since his return to NXT back in 2019. Before that, Balor was working in the main roster for a few years, where he was not utilized well.

After a highly successful second run in NXT, Finn Balor made his return to Friday Night Smackdown back in July and now is currently feuding with WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.

On this week’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown, Finn Balor challenged Reigns for his WWE Universal Championship. It was an intense match from start to finish as both competitors gave it their all to come out the victory.

Balor was attacked by The Usos before the match but still put on a stellar performance. Unfortunately, he was unable to beat Reigns after Reigns choked him out with the Guillotine submission hold.

After the match, Reigns made his exit from the ring with Paul Heyman and then suddenly, Reigns’ music was interrupted for a moment by a red light and the sound of a heartbeat going out over the arena. 

Due to this, many fans were convinced that Finn Balor was bringing back his Demon gimmick to face off against Roman Reigns. It is likely the two will clash once again at the WWE Extreme Rules pay-per-view on September 26th. We will have to wait and see how the feud will be booked.
