Former two-time ROH Champion RUSH was said to be in “serious condition” after surgery. Some of that might have been lost in translation, but he did go under the knife. Now RUSH will be out of action for the remainder of 2021.

ROH updated fans to let them know that RUSH had knee surgery today. They did not reveal when he will return, but it won’t be in 2021. This is a big loss for the ROH roster, because RUSH remained a standout performer and was scheduled for future matches.

Ring of Honor provided the following update on their website to explain when this injury took place.

The two-time former ROH World Champion suffered the injury at Glory By Honor on Aug. 21 during the tag team match pitting him and Dragon Lee against ROH World Champion Bandido and Rey Horus.

RUSH was slated to team with Dragon Lee and Kenny King against ROH Six-Man Tag Team Champions Shane Taylor Promotions at Death Before Dishonor. That September 12th match won’t happen for him now. Bestia del Ring will replace RUSH at the pay-per-view.

Hopefully, RUSH is able to get the recovery time he needs to make his way back to the ring soon.
