John Cena made his return at the WWE Money In The Bank pay-per-view in July and set his sights on Roman Reigns’ Universal Championship. Cena was unable to defeat Reigns for the title at WWE SummerSlam, but he did introduce an interesting T-shirt. He also doesn’t want to pressure The Rock into coming back to WWE.

The Peacemaker actor has faced off against the best of the best the pro wrestling world has to offer and that includes The Rock. He also has a lot of respect for The Rock as he followed in his footsteps to become a huge draw in Hollywood.

John Cena previously revealed that he can relate to The Rock in many ways, especially when it comes to juggling multiple projects at once.

While speaking to ET Online, John Cena made it clear that he won’t call The Rock and pressure him into coming back to WWE and stated that only The Rock should decide when he’ll come back.

“He’s earned the right not to be pressured into that choice. I can say he is a fan of the WWE. He is the most electrifying man in sports entertainment. So as a fan do, I want to see one of the greatest performers of all time step back in the WWE ring? Yeah. But in no way am I gonna call him and if I’m gonna talk to him about something, it’s not gonna try to be to get him back in the WWE ring. He needs to come to that conclusion by himself.

The Rock was last seen for the 20th Anniversary of Friday Night SmackDown back in 2019. We will have to wait and see when The Great will be making his return to the company.
