Britt Baker Urged Tony Khan To Bring Back Jamie Hayter

Dr. Britt Baker is enjoying her reign as the current AEW Women’s Champion. She has been in the game since 2019, and has done nothing but constantly elevate herself to newer heights.

Baker is also a huge fan of new talent, and constantly stays on the lookout for who could be of a great interest to the company. She recently talked to Vince Morales of Milwaukee Record. Baker revealed that she kept nudging Tony Khan and Kenny Omega to consider Jamie Hayter as a new addition to the team.

Yeah, so when I wrestled her in England, right away we just clicked and I thought she was a fantastic wrestler. She has a really cool, edgy personality. We’re kind of similar too in our dry, sarcastic humor and we just really clicked.

Britt added that while AEW was working with Hayter for a while, the pandemic put a stop to everything. When things started improving, Baker started putting in word for Hayter once again.

But then when stuff is opening up again, you know, I was kinda nudging Kenny and Tony like ‘Hey, remember Jamie Hayter? Remember Jamie Hayter?’ Because she’s such a fantastic talent and everybody here—literally every single person in AEW—agrees that she’s fantastic and we need her here.

Baker always wanted good talent to join the ranks in AEW. She recently told Kenny Omega to get Deonna Purrazzo to AEW. She also received a lot of praise for wrestling through injury in match. Baker is all set to face Red Velvet at AEW Dynamite.
