WWE’s video game franchise hit a huge snag when 2K20 failed miserably. Fans had to wait for a new traditional entry in the line of WWE video games, and they’ll have to wait until 2022.

We previously reported that 2K22 isn’t expected until 2022 with a WrestleMania promotional blitz in the plan. They aired a new commercial during SummerSlam which confirmed a March 2022 release date.

WWE Superstars have already been scanned for the new game, along with several who were recently released. Hopefully, they won’t have to take more Superstars out who could be released between now and March 2022.

This announcement was also accompanied by a trailer for the game. Hopefully, the wait will be worth it, because 2k had to start from scratch in this entry for their line of WWE video games.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
