Jungle Boy is currently one of the mainstays on AEW television, whose stock only continues to rise with the passage of time. He also became a huge topic of discussion back in June when he revealed that he is in a relationship with Dark Order member Anna Jay. Jungle Boy also recently revealed how the two even got together in the first place.

As many fans are aware, Jungle Boy is the son of Hollywood star Luke Perry, who passed away back in 2019. He has worked with his father on set and it seems Jungle Boy might have left being a pro wrestler to pursue a very different career.

While speaking to Oral Sessions with Renee Paquette, Jungle Boy revealed that he wanted to quit the pro wrestling business and become a stuntman in Hollywood. Thankfully, that was not in his destiny.

“I kind of started going a bit more as I got older because I wanted to get into doing stunt work. Before this all kind of panned out, I was thinking about quitting wrestling to be a stunt man. And then I wanted to go to see how that worked. I thought it was really cool to see all the ropes and pads and how that stuff works. And I thought that was very neat. “I did one stunt gig, just kind of got yanked off this building onto a bunch of pads or whatever.

I went and I sat in a trailer all day and I ate food and got makeup done and all that. And I was like ‘this is so much better than independent pro wrestling.’ For that you drive eight hours somewhere, I somehow end up getting my ass kicked and then drive eight hours back and I made $50. In the beginning I was like ‘this is sick, I made $50.’ But then when I did the stunt I went ‘this is so cool. This is great.’ So yeah, I definitely thought about doing that for a while.”

Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus failed to defeat The Young Bucks for the AEW Tag Team Titles on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite. Regardless, Jungle Boy is here to stay in AEW as he has a deep love for pro wrestling and that is unlikely to change anytime soon.
