Drew McIntyre remains one of the top Superstars in WWE and certainly has a lot of passion for the pro wrestling business. He is a former two-time WWE Champion and was the face of the company during the pandemic era as the WWE Champion.

McIntyre and Sheamus are good friends in real life, and you always hit your friends harder in the ring. That amounts to some big possibilities for confrontations.

From late 2020 to early this year, Drew McIntyre and Sheamus were involved in a very serious feud that saw them taking on each other in a series of hard-hitting and intense matches, which received a lot of praise from fans and WWE Superstars alike.

While speaking to BT Sport’s What Went Down series, Sheamus talked about his rivalry with Drew McIntyre. Sheamus revealed that he fought hard with WWE in order to get a WrestleMania 37 match with Drew McIntyre. However, the company would ultimately turn down Sheamus’ pitch.

“We really were hoping this was gonna be WrestleMania. That’s where we felt the feud should basically climax, should come to an end at WrestleMania, and I fought as hard as I could, we both did, to make that happen, but you do what you can do, you know. Make it the best way you can.”

Sheamus is currently the United States Champion and his current run with the title has been a solid one, to say the least. On the other hand, Drew McIntyre is currently engaged in a feud with Jinder Mahal. We wonder if Sheamus and McIntyre will eventually get to duke it out at WrestleMania one day.
