AJ Styles continues to work at high level as he continues to amaze fans. He was worried about getting a very odd gimmick during his debut in WWE. In the end, Vince McMahon brought him straight to the main roster where he skipped the NXT brand all together.

Since his appearance in the 2016 Royal Rumble, AJ Styles has cemented himself as one of the best in-ring workers in all of WWE. However, AJ Styles has never competed in NXT. While speaking to SportsMatters, Samoa Joe talked about the possibility of facing AJ Styles in NXT. He then revealed that AJ Styles wants to have a run in NXT.

“He’s [AJ Styles] walking around with that big meal ticket he’s got with him right now, I don’t know. He might not be too keen to get in a real fight these days. You know, I need to find me an Omos, man. He’s got a really good gig going on. I’m a little jealous to be honest. He’s figured out something great but you know, absolutely [I would like to wrestle Styles in NXT].”

“I think the never-ending war between me and AJ will always continue. And he’s always expressed to people that he’d love to do a little stint in NXT, come over and have some fun so, like I said, in this chaotic world, no one knows what the future holds.”

AJ Styles is currently one 1/2 of the RAW Tag Team Champions with Omos but we certainly wonder if The Phenomenal One will eventually make his way to NXT somewhere down the line. We’ll have to see if that never-ending war continues, but AJ Styles vs Samoa Joe will always be a big money ticket, no matter where you are.
