Seth Rollins is rolling into SummerSlam where he will take on Edge in dream match. Rollins also realizes how often people bring his name into the situation. John Cena said that Roman Reigns almost “ruined” Seth Rollins and The Messiah heard it all.

That Reigns and Cena segment was very interesting behind the scenes as well. As Ringside News exclusively reported, the pair did not even run rehearsals.

Rollins logged onto Twitter after he let that comment from Cena sink in a bit. He didn’t namedrop the 16x World Champion explicitly, but he did reference those who bring his name into things to “validate” their narrative. That only validates his own influence the way he sees things.

Use my name all you want to validate your narrative. Truth is, it only validates my influence. I’m never in danger and I’m always thriving. #ROLLINSFOREVER

Rollins wasn’t the only person from Roman Reigns’ past that he brought into that promo on SmackDown. The Tribal Chief also brought up Nikki Bella to Cena prior to Cena name dropping Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose against Reigns. Cena also made an apparent reference to CM Punk, and the Second City Savior certainly noticed.

We’ll have to see what goes down at SummerSlam. Rollins vs Edge will likely be an exciting match and they are doing everything possible to make this an engaging program for fans.
