Christian Cage Reacts To ‘Surreal’ Impact Title Win On AEW Rampage

Christian Cage is involved in a feud with Kenny Omega in AEW and that resulted in Kenny Omega defending his Impact World Title on the debut episode of AEW Rampage against Christian Cage. Kenny Omega and Christian Cage duked it out in Pittsburgh to determine who would walk out the champion.

It was an intense match from start to finish as both competitors were determined to pick up the win. However, when all was said and done, Christian Cage ended up winning the match and became the new Impact World Champion.

While speaking in a backstage interview after his huge title win, Christian Cage said it was surreal for him to become the champion and it felt damn good.

“I’m pretty beat up, but it’s a pretty surreal moment to be honest with you,” Christian said. “I put myself kind of behind the 8-ball a little bit where I said that I was gonna, without a doubt, beat Kenny for the Impact Championship and I was gonna be in the Impact Zone this coming week, and I would look like pretty much an idiot if I didn’t follow through on that, right?

“But it feels damn good, and like I said, my roots run deep with Impact, and I thought it was my duty to win this back for the Impact fans, and because this company means so much to me. So it’s back home where it belongs.”

We will have to wait and see what is next in store for Christian Cage now that he is the new Impact World Champion. Kenny Omega will certainly want his title back from Cage as well.
