Omega and Cage are set to face off at AEW All Out for the AEW World Title on September 5th. They threw down a few weeks early on TNT with an entirely different title on the line.

Brian Hebner, son of the legendary Earl Hebner, was the referee for this match. He was there to represent Impact Wrestling as their senior official. Hebner also didn’t call for the bell to ring before the match started, so there was no bell. The two competitors then had a barnburner of a match.

Kenny Omega was going to cheat and win the match after the Young Bucks brought a chair to the ring. Just as he was set to hit a One-Winged Angel on the chair, Christian turned it around on The Cleaner and nailed a Kill Switch on the chair instead.

After the match, Impact President Scott D’Amore came to the ring along with the Jurassic Express to celebrate with Christian.

Now Christian Cage is the new Impact World Champion. He is still set to face Kenny Omega for the AEW World Title at All Out on September 5th. That was quite a way to start the first episode of Rampage.
