Lance Archer is undoubtedly one of the mainstays of AEW television and a true veteran in the pro wrestling world. His imposing figure and intensity have made him a top star in the company.

Prior to signing with AEW, Lance Archer largely worked in NJPW and competed in some memorable matches. He would sign with AEW back in February of last year.

Lance Archer recently held a Q&A on Twitter, where he answered a variety of questions from fans. One fan asked him if he was ever close to leaving pro wrestling for good.

Lance Archer saw the fan’s question and answered it, as Archer revealed that he tried out for the Cirque du Soleil and would have left wrestling if he had gotten the part.

“Ehhhh. Tried out for Cirque a cpl yrs ago. Had I got the part. Money and benefits were pretty dang good”

Lance Archer Archer won the IWGP United States Championship by defeating Jon Moxley at AEW Fyter Fest Night 2. He is set to defend the title against Hiroshi Tanahashi at NJPW Resurgence on August 14. We will have to wait and see if he will be able to retain the title or to.
