WWE is planning for SummerSlam to go down on August 21st in Allegiant Stadium, but new worries have come up about how solid that event is. As we previously reported, there is a concern within WWE that a ban on large gatherings could force a move back into the ThunderDome. In the meantime, plans are carrying on as usual.

Clark County, Nevada issued mask mandate for all indoor events. SummerSlam will take place inside Allegiant Stadium, but all fans must wear a mask. Ticketmaster and Allegiant Stadium released the following statement which mandates that all fans at the biggest party of the summer must be masked up.

Allegiant Stadium takes the health and safety of its guests, employees and staff very seriously. In response to rising COVID-19 cases, and in accordance with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and State of Nevada Emergency Directive 047, all individuals, regardless of vaccination status, must wear a face mask while inside the stadium.

The State of Nevada & CDC do not currently require proof of vaccination to attend events.

Allegiant Stadium’s COVID-19 protocols are subject to change as additional information is discovered or provided by the State of Nevada & the CDC.

Individual events held at Allegiant Stadium may also implement heightened COVID-19 protocols, so please read all correspondence regarding an individual event carefully.

Hopefully, people will take the COVID-19 pandemic seriously so we can finally put a stop to it. Great headway was made, but an upward trend in new COVID-19 cases is alarming, especially when it comes to the new Delta Variant. This caused a mandate to go into effect for the SummerSlam venue. We can only hope that WWE doesn’t have to alter their plans for a move back to the ThunderDome.
