WWE could lose Adam Cole soon enough as his contract has either expired or he is working on an extension through SummerSlam. His deal is now a big talking point in the Pro Wrestling Community and WWE management was apparently very surprised about the situation as well.

According to a report from PW Insider, WWE executives were caught by surprise when they realized Cole’s contract situation. It was previously believed that they had him locked into a deal until January 2022.

That realization took a number of WWE execs by surprise as the belief was Cole was locked in through January 2022.

The timing of Cole’s situation also reportedly lines up with the termination of Canyon Ceman. WWE released Ceman recently, but it was thought for a while that he was no longer with the company.

Adam Cole is said to be “in an amazing position of being able to attempt to negotiate the best deal possible for himself.” That contract could be with WWE or AEW. One would imagine that Adam Cole’s next contract will include a substantial monetary increase.
