Former WWE Superstar Alberto Del Rio remains a highly controversial figure in the pro wrestling world. He is facing several charges of sexual assault and could end up in jail for his entire life if convicted.

Despite his problematic actions, Del Rio certainly had a solid career in WWE during his two runs with the company. He is a four time world champion and two time WWE United States Champion and also a Royal Rumble winner.

While speaking with Wrestling Sport, Alberto Del Rio stated that he is still hopeful he will be inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame one day as it is his dream.

“It was an epic moment. To face and defeat CM Punk being in his prime was a privilege. He was not a fashion wrestler, he was already a consolidated wrestler. Imagine yourself at the Staples Center in front of all Latinos. That day was the coronation of all Latinos.”

It is highly unlikely he will ever be inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame. The date for his next trial is slated to be on August 2nd, after it was shifted from May 3rd. We will have to see if he will be convicted of all the charges meted against him.
