WWE had a few extra Superstars backstage for SmackDown this week. Four NXT stars were on hand and they got to wrestle dark matches as the Target Center filled with fans.

Austin Theory took on Odyssey Jones in a dark match prior to the show. Both have worked dark matches in the past for the main roster. Theory wasn’t on NXT this week, but Jones is still in the breakout tournament. It’s possible that both are getting ready for a call-up. Odyssey Jones won the match with a splash off the top rope.

The other dark match consisted of Indi Hartwell vs Aliyah. It was previously reported that Aliyah was traded to RAW for Mandy Rose. Aliyah won over Hartwell in that second dark match.

Both Hartwell and Theory are members of The Way in NXT. Hartwell is still involved in a storyline with Dexter Lumis, but Theory was missing from NXT this week.

We’ll have to see if all four are on their way up to the main roster soon. They are all getting some great experience as they wrestle in front of a SmackDown crowd.
