AEW Dynamite will be moving to TBS in January of 2022. This was an announcement that shocked the pro wrestling world. In addition to that, AEW: Rampage and four annual specials were also confirmed as part of the new deal.

AEW Rampage show will premiere Friday, August 13 at 10 pm ET on TNT, and will move to TBS in 2022 when AEW Dynamite also moves to TBS.

While speaking to TV Insider, Mark Henry was asked how AEW Rampage would be different from AEW Dynamite. Henry answered that Rampage will have a lot more humor, especially from the commentary team.

“I can tell you right now there is going to be a lot more humor in the commentating. As far as the show, AEW speaks for itself as a brand. You know what you’re going to get with the excitement, the athleticism. We want to make sure it’s more deliberate and shocking to the system. I think that AEW has already done that. My job is not to change anything. I’m just knocking some of the dust off and making a prettier picture. The business has never been better here. Every day it surges forward.”

With AEW going through several changes as of late, we certainly wonder just how successful AEW Rampage will be and if it will improve the overall quality of the product.
