CM Punk showed interest in making a pro wrestling return and it didn’t take him very long to find a company that will help him make that happen. Now fans are waiting for Punk’s AEW debut, but some WWE diehards are not giving up home.

Ringside News asked around about the general feeling of CM Punk going to AEW. We were told by someone pretty high up in the company that, “WWE has no interest in CM Punk and even less for Phil Brooks as a human being.”

Additionally, we were told: “Let him be their headache.” Those are direct quotes that we received upon questioning.

As Ringside News exclusively reported, CM Punk has signed contract with All Elite Wrestling. He has also been 100% confirmed to appear in Chicago by independent report from Bodyslam.net. It is uncertain which Chicago show he will appear on, but the report confirmed a Windy City appearance for Punk.

It was previously reported that WWE might have a revived interest in bringing CM Punk back after AEW showed interest. That is not the case at all. There have never been any talks about CM Punk coming back. A current report floating around saying that Punk will be at a WWE show in August is also false.

CM Punk and Bryan Danielson are likely to send shockwaves through the pro wrestling world when they debut for All Elite Wrestling. Those in WWE will be watching, but there is no desire to have CM Punk back.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
