CM Punk is reportedly talking about making a return to pro wrestling. AEW could be his likely landing pad, but this is apparently not new information.

Punk has been the topic of conversation on many occasions. It seems that his name comes up every now and then as fans wish that he will make a return to the ring. It is not known whether CM Punk has signed anything, because we likely won’t know until he shows up somewhere.

According to F4WOnline, CM Punk and AEW have been talking for “a while.” It is unknown whether CM Punk will actually wrestle again, but the talks have apparently not died down.

Dave Meltzer said that he doesn’t know where talks stand, but as far as talks happening, that has been the case for a while.

AEW sent CM Punk text message to gauge his interest when the company first started. Perhaps, that is what Meltzer was referring to.

CM Punk hasn’t wrestle since 2014. It might take some time to get the ring rust off if he does wish to make a return. He’s still able to perform and we’ll have to see if he decides to do so. At this point, the door seems to be open as far as AEW is concerned.

Some in WWE also have the idea that CM Punk will end up in AEW. They also have that same feeling about Daniel Bryan, but neither have appeared for the company yet. Stay tuned for more on this ongoing story.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
