WWE was making plans to roll into Atlanta for their September 17th episode of SmackDown. The company will need to make new plans very soon, because that show is off.

The State Farm Arena announced that the September 17th edition of SmackDown will not be happening at their venue. This announcement was made on Friday morning, but no reason was given.

Ticket Master’s website, which the State Farm Arena linked to in their post, notes that refunds will be given if an event is cancelled. It appears that this event is cancelled since no new date was provided.

no action is required to obtain a refund; we will issue a refund to the original method of payment used at time of purchase, once funds are received from the Event Organizer. In some cases, the Event Organizer may also give you the option to choose either a credit or a refund; if so, we will send you a notification explaining your options, and how to submit a request for a credit.

The note from the State Farm Arena only said, “WWE Friday Night Smackdown on September 17th will no longer take place in Atlanta. Refunds are available at all points of purchase.”

We will have to see where WWE decides to hold their September 17th event now, but it won’t take place in Atlanta.
