Davey Boy Smith Jr. Wrestles Dark Match Before WWE SmackDown

You never know who will show up at a WWE event and there are likely to be some big surprises tonight on SmackDown. Fans in Houston got a pretty nice surprise even before the show technically started.

We previously reported that Austin Theory Could Be Going Back To WWE Main Roster Austin Theory was backstage this week at SmackDown. He was in a tag team match and his partner was none other than Davey Boy Smith Jr. It is unknown whether this means the British Bulldog’s son has signed a new deal with WWE. Smith Jr and Theory took on Odyssey Jones and Xyon Quinn.

It has been rumored for a while that WWE and Davey Boy Smith Jr were going to close up on deal. The pandemic likely threw a hug wrench into those plans. WWE also planned on bringing James Storm onto the main roster, but those Paul Heyman-led plans were nixed.

Xia Li and Aliyah also wrestled each other before SmackDown kicked off this week. The fans in Houston got quite a show even before the show actually began.
