Brian Cage Says He Never Wanted To Be In Team Taz After FTW Title Loss

On this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Brian Cage defended his FTW Championship against Ricky Starks. There had been growing tensions between the two stars for the past few months and it culminated in the match.

The match was an intense one from start to finish as each competitor gave it their all in order to come out with the win. Towards the end of the match, Powerhouse Hobbs hit Brian Cage with the FTW title while the referee wasn’t looking.

This allowed Ricky Starks to pin Brian Cage and defeat him and thus, he became the new FTW Champion as members of Team Taz celebrated at ringside.

After the conclusion of the match, Brian Cage took to Twitter and sent a scathing message to Team Taz as Cage stated that he wanted to be in the team or be the FTW Champion.

Well these dirty mf’ers. I never asked or wanted to be in team taz or have that damn title. Things just got real, and I’m ready to f–k shit up!

Now that Brian Cage is effectively a babyface, it is likely he will be feuding with Team Taz for the time being. We will have to wait and see how their feud will be booked.
