Murphy was released from WWE, but his schedule is already starting to fill up. He will wrestle everyone that he can and the former NXT Tag Team Champion is also excited about the future. He will get things going against Brian Cage.

The FTW Champion sent out an Instagram blast to announce that he is set to take on Murphy on September 18th at the 2300 Arena, the former ECW Arena. This is Murphy’s first advertised match since his WWE release as well.

JUST ANNOUNCED! Murphy vs Machine. One of the hot matches I was looking fwd to since the slew of WWE releases. Bout to own the spotlight, have the match of the night and def get my shit in! One helluva return to the ECW Arena.

Brian Cage said that Murphy is one man who he wanted to face, but there could be many more opportunities for them to collide. We’ll have to see what’s next for Murphy, but he’s been working very hard to make sure that his re-entry into indie wrestling is the biggest he can possibly make it.
