Cody Rhodes would love to own all of the great ideas that his father Dusty Rhodes came up with. Sadly, he was unable to secure a lot of that intellectual property because WWE locked it down. The Great American Bash is tonight and Cody is hoping for the best.

One fan tweeted at the American Nightmare to comment on WWE NXT holding another Great American Bash event. This fan said they feel as if “WWE should have given you and your Brother the ‘Great American Bash’ pay-per-view name to use in AEW.”

Cody Rhodes understands business and that was a part of his reply. He also expressed a hope that WWE will do right by his father’s creations, because they own quite a few of them at this point.

Business is business. They have the rights to many of Dusty’s greatest creations. My hope is that they do them justice and I will never be bitter about his legacy being honored and a whole new generation seeing he was a genius w/lasting concepts.
