For the past couple of months, WWE has been releasing several employees including WWE Superstars, beginning with the release of Superstars such as Chelsea Green and Mickie James.

Last month, WWE held yet another round of cuts from the company and it featured several big names such as Braun Strowman and Lana. She was let go due to her lucrative contract with WWE, which Lana signed back in 2019.

While speaking on Talk Is Jericho, Lana claimed that WWE initially had planned a table spot for her during last year’s Survivor Series pay-per-view. It would have seen Nia Jax putting her through yet another announcer’s table.

However, Roman Reigns didn’t want the spot to happen as there was going to be a spot involving the announcer’s table in his match against Drew McIntyre. Ultimately, Roman Reigns got the spot that involved Lana, removed.

“We were supposed to do this whole table spot on the show. And then Roman did not want, ’cause he had a table spot with (Drew McIntyre). So there was some major pushback. The Samoans, Nia and Roman, you know, that whole thing. Like, oh my god I’m caught in the middle of this drama. And so, we had a huge spot. Like I was supposed to be laid out in the very beginning. I was supposed to get in the ring and Nia snatch me, ’cause the whole point was everyone on the team were heels and I was the only ‘babyface’ and they’re gonna be all against me, and she was gonna lay me out.”

Lana would end up being the sole survivor of Team RAW and won the match as well. We certainly wonder if there were other plans for Lana that WWE scrapped due to Roman Reigns.
