WWE Officially Confirms Return To Madison Square Garden

WWE considers Madison Square Garden their NYC home. That venue has hosted a ton of historic pro wrestling events and they will host a SmackDown very soon, marking the company’s return to the World’s Most Famous Arena.

It was previously reported that WWE is returning to MSG, and the company has now confirmed that they will return to NYC soon.

The company included MSG in a list of upcoming events and sent out a press release to confirm their return to that arena. They will air a live episode of Friday Night SmackDown on September 10th from MSG.

The pandemic stopped a ton of plans that WWE had for 2020. There was a goal to make a return to Madison Square Garden during that time, but the ThunderDome remained the company’s base of operations throughout much of 2020 into 2021.

Tickets will go on sale on July 9th via Ticket Master. This will likely be a big show to draw in a lot of interest. Plenty of fans have waited for WWE’s return to MSG and they won’t have to wait long for that to happen.
