WWE released a lot of Superstars in the past few months, but all of them have a non-compete clause attached to their releases. Andrade was notable exception as he was allowed to sign with AEW well before his non-compete would have ran out. He is not the only one who has requested to get out of that clause.

We previously reported that some released WWE Superstars were asking about getting out of their non-compete clauses early. It was not noted who wanted out of their deals early, but Impact Wrestling and AEW both have big events coming up that some would really like to be a part of.

According to a report from Fightful Select, “at least one” released Superstar has gained a release from their non-compete clause. It was said that Johnny Ace and WWE have been easy to deal with about that.

At least one of them has gained an early out on their WWE no-compete clause, and WWE were willing to let them out of the entirety of it, but that it didn’t end up happening.

We will have to see if anyone ends up surprising fans by appearing for another pro wrestling company early. You never know what can happen in pro wrestling, especially when the free agent pool continues to grow with each wave of WWE releases.

Who do you think got out of their non-compete clause first? Sound off in the comments!
