Wesley Blake was part of the last wave of WWE releases, but he would be open to making a return to the company. Samoa Joe was fired by WWE, but he returned to NXT. Blake isn’t opposed to the same type of situation.

While speaking to Riju Dasgupta, Wesley Blake was asked if he would be interested in making a return to NXT. That kind of deal really seemed to interest him because he’s always willing to work where his services can be utilized.

“Yes, I’m always willing to work with any company that would like my services and what I bring to the table. A main event type caliber player where I can show the world what I’m capable of and also help the brand out as much as I can as well. Like I said, if NXT would give me a call back and the deal was right and I like the circumstances of coming back, I would most certainly, definitely, go back to NXT.”

WWE didn’t seem to have much for Wesley Blake. They teased the idea of re-forming his team with Buddy Murphy, because they are former NXT Tag Team Champions. That didn’t happen and they were both released instead. We’ll have to see what’s next for Blake and Murphy, but they didn’t have a reunion in WWE.

NXT is always changing as new people come and go from the brand. Perhaps Triple H could find use for Wesley Blake prior to his 90-day non-compete clause expiring.

What’s your take on WWE bringing released Superstars back to NXT? Should they keep it up? Sound off in the comments!
