CM Punk and Brock Lesnar have a common bond through Paul Heyman, but the two still had quite a battle in 2013. That SummerSlam match is remembered by many fans, but the magic that they saw in the ring was called on the spot.

During a recent Twitter Q&A, CM Punk addressed a few topics. He explained why he won’t do a Broken Skull Sessions episode with Steve Austin. Punk took that opportunity to call out WWE for not paying royalties as well.

One fan asked Punk if his match against Brock Lesnar was really called in the ring. He responded to clear things up. They had a couple spots planned, but the rest was off the cuff.

Had ideas for highspots and filled in the blanks.

We’ll have to see if CM Punk or Brock Lesnar ever return to WWE. The Beast Incarnate’s comeback is more likely, but as Ringside News exclusively reported there are no ongoing talks between WWE and Lesnar for him to come back.

CM Punk is another story. He has remained outside of pro wrestling while remaining in the pro wrestling bubble. He also hasn’t returned to the ring, but the right pay check and storyline could always change that. As of this writing, it looks like Brock vs Punk II is out of the question.
