Bobby Lashley retained the WWE Title at Hell in a Cell as he defeated Drew McIntyre. Now the Scottish Warrior can never challenge for that title again as long as Lashley holds it. The big question is who will step up to face the All Mighty next.
WWE needs more babyfaces in a top spot who can face the heel WWE Champion. This is apparent, but that doesn’t give a lot of options right now. During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed some possible options, and a couple of them would be surprising choices.
“Bray Wyatt? Bill Goldberg? You know, is there anyone we see on the TV each week that’s ready? Randy Orton is always a guy they would throw out in these positions.”
SummerSlam is supposed to be an “all hands on deck” situation. That might be enough to bring in Goldberg for a match against Bobby Lashley. The possibility of having Bray Wyatt return to RAW instead of SmackDown is also very intriguing.
Ringside News exclusively reported that WWE creative was told that there are no plans for Brock Lesnar. The two sides are not even in talks right now. You never know what can happen in WWE, but fans might know the company’s intentions sooner than later as they begin the build toward Money in the Bank next month.
