Chris Hero was let go from his WWE contract last year, and the former Kassius Ohno went off on his own during the pandemic. We haven’t seen him appear for any televised pro wrestling company yet, but that’s not out of the realm of possibility.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer was asked if AEW has expressed any interest in bringing in Chris Hero. Meltzer admitted that he hasn’t heard Hero’s name, but the last time he spoke with the former NXT Superstar he expressed a desire to do something big. That was a while ago though, so we’ll have to see how much longer fans have to wait.

“I have not heard that name. I don’t know what Chris is doing other than he’s doing a podcast. The last time I had talked to him, which was not so recent, he had told me that he was looking at something big and he didn’t want to do anything until then. That was a long time ago, a long freaking time ago, so I don’t know what’s up with him except for he wants to do something big.”

Chris Hero could offer a lot to any roster he joins. He has a veteran mind for pro wrestling and could assist younger talent as well. Hero also still has plenty of gas in the tank in terms of his own pro wrestling career. The pro wrestling landscape is always changing and you never know when Chris Hero might pop up next.
