Chelsea Green was one of several Superstars released by WWE a couple of months ago as part of the COVID-19 budget cuts. Many fans felt that her WWE career ended before it even started properly.

Former WWE Superstar and Chelsea Green’s fiancé Matt Cardona recently made headlines after he attacked Nick Gage while Cardona pretended to be Jon Moxley, which got lot of heat from fans in attendance.

Nick Gage would return the favor by invading Matt Cardona’s live podcast, as he was looking for fight. The two certainly have a heated rivalry right now and while Cage has a lot of experience with violent matches, Cardona does not.

While speaking to Inside The Ropes, Chelsea Green was asked about the possibility of Matt Cardona squaring off against Nick Gage. Green stated that she feels Cardona definitely deserves a match against the deathmatch legend and the credibility that will come from the match.

“I mean, I loved it! I was REALLY excited for it. And I’m mostly excited because I do feel like he was put in a box in the WWE, and maybe it was him that wanted to be in that box, maybe it was him that never pushed to get out of that box – but this is his chance to show the world SO much more.

He’s been wrestling for so long – since he was 18, he’s now 36. I mean, he really he’s a wrestling since he was, like, three years old. But I just feel like this puts a little bit more validity behind his name and I love that for him. I think he deserves that.”

Matt Cardona had recently revealed that his goal is not getting back to WWE right now and is simply having too much fun doing whatever he wants to. We will have to see if Matt Cardona will face off against Nick Gage eventually.
