AEW is looking toward the future and Tony Khan’s company knows that they cannot do that without investing money. That involved dropping a ton on their budding Video Games division.

Forbes recently spoke to Tony Khan where it was noted that AEW received $43.7 million from TNT for their television deal. The company is still in the red because they turned around and invested “8 figures” on their AEW Games division.

AEW has two phone apps in development, a General Manager app an a Casino game. Those two apps will roll out far before their massive console video game with Yuke’s. AEW made those big reveals during public address where they all played-up their best Steve Jobs impression.

Chris Jericho made comment that the Wednesday Night War was over as soon as AEW received their sweet extension from WarnerMedia. That injection of cash also ensured that AEW would have a television home. That home will move in 2022 as both AEW Dynamite and Rampage will move to TBS.

There is no firm release date for the upcoming AEW console game. We can expect big updates in the future from a roster reveal to who will make it on the cover of the upcoming game. Hopefully, that investment pays off because AEW dropped a ton of money on the project.

What’s your take on AEW upcoming console video game? Do you have very high expectations? Sound off in the comments!
