John Cena vs. Roman Reigns Likely To Sell Out WWE SummerSlam According Ex-WWE Personality

John Cena is undoubtedly one of the best Superstars to have ever stepped foot inside a WWE ring. He is a 16-time World Champion and was the face of the company for well over a decade. He has not been seen in the company since WrestleMania 36 last year, but that is likely to change soon.

Roman Reigns is currently the WWE Universal Champion and undoubtedly one of the best Superstars in the company, with his new heel character going a long way to prove just how good it can be.

WWE has been discussing the idea of having John Cena square off against Roman Reigns at the WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view. While speaking on Smack Talk, pro wrestling legend Zeb Colter talked about the potential match between Cena and Reigns. Colter stated that the marquee match will sell out WWE SummerSlam, provided the undercard is packed as well.

“I like it. You have got [John] Cena who they have not seen in a year or two. I think you got a marquee match and I think they will fill it up. And I think in Vegas, the people are used to this lockdown, this quarantine we’ve all been under, they’re ready to get out. They’re ready to go. So if they pack that undercard, they will have a sellout. They may have a sellout anyway because of the event – SummerSlam. SummerSlam and WrestleMania, these are big events regardless of what’s on the card. Some of these WrestleMania cards I’ve seen really aren’t that exciting. But, it’s WrestleMania or it’s SummerSlam, let’s go, it’s history.”

John Cena is currently expected to make his return to the company in July when live crowds make a comeback and his schedule is also freeing up in order to make that happen. We will have to see if Cena and Reigns do face each other at WWE SummerSlam.
