Samoa Joe’s name was a very surprising one for a lot of fans to see on April 15th. He might be coming back sooner than later.

According to Fightful Select, Samoa Joe could be headed back to NXT. That is the way it was reported. There is a thought backstage that Joe will make a return to WWE’s NXT brand, something he could do prior to his 90-day non-compete clause expiring.

It was said that “numerous NXT talent and staff on Friday” noted that they heard NXT was thinking about bringing in Samoa Joe. It was also noted that “the interest on NXT’s side is for a wrestling role.”

Samoa Joe could become an in-ring performer once again, but for the black and gold brand. He has not appeared anywhere after his release, because Joe is still under a 90-day non-compete clause. He also never returned to the ring after that long stint on commentary.

It was said that some talent believe that a deal between Samoa Joe and NXT will reach an agreement. At this time no WWE officials have confirmed anything and there is no real indication that a deal has been made at this point.
