Kenny Omega is currently the AAA Mega Champion, Impact Wrestling Champion and also the AEW World Champion. He has been booked as one of the best champions in recent memory and his high work rate speaks for itself.

Kenny Omega made a name for himself with his incredible matches against the likes of Kazuchika Okada and Tetsuya Naito in NJPW and is regarded as one of the NJPW champions in recent memory.

Due to his increased workload as he holds multiple championships, it seems they have truly taken a toll on Omega’s body. According to a report by Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer stated that Kenny Omega is dealing with multiple injuries right now, due to which he is in a lot of pain.

It’s just as well because Omega is hurting pretty badly between slicing up his hand and needing seven stitches when he delivered the fourth belt shot on Pac in the three-way (the one with the AEW belt which is especially sharp), a deep bone bruise near his tailbone, the normal wear and tear on his knees and an athletic hernia. He was also suffering from a stomach virus this past week. But he’s definitely in a lot of pain getting through the recent big matches. At the fan fest the day before the PPV, he said there are days he wakes up and walks around where he thinks maybe he’s close to the time to hang it up because his body is feeling worse. But he also noted that having real fans in the building when he’s performing makes him feel a lot better

Kenny Omega has been in such pain at times, that Omega feels as if he is close to hanging up his wrestling boots for good. Of course, Omega continues to power through the pain in order to deliver the best matches possible to fans and we certainly commend him for that.

Will Kenny Omega fight through the pain? Sound off in the comments!
