WWE is looking at another crop of NXT call-ups sooner than later. They sent scouts to the Performance Center and even had practice matches. It seems that the writing is on the wall for more NXT call-ups, but some fans grimace at that thought.

Triple H was asked about fans not enjoying NXT as much anymore because they know how the WWE main roster will treat them. This question came at The Game during a conference call for NXT TakeOver: In Your House.

“One way of looking at it is ‘misused’ and the other way is that things don’t always pan out. There are players that play in the NFL, they play college football and people can’t wait for them to get to the NFL and when they get to the NFL, it doesn’t work and doesn’t pan out. You can say a team misused them or mismanaged them or the coach of the team they played for didn’t put them in the right role. It could be a million reasons. It can also be that sometimes talent doesn’t fit in a particular place or talent got to a particular place and that was the end of their growth curve. Sometimes, it doesn’t work. There are a lot of factors,”

Triple H has seen a few of his NXT creations make their way to the main roster only to get chewed up and spit out. Obviously, Triple H wants the best for everyone that NXT loses to RAW or SmackDown, but they can’t all be winners.

The big question is who WWE is looking at for a main roster call-up this time around. Odds are they will take a few names up after releasing so many in the last few months. The company needs people to fill cards as they head back on the road.

Ringside News exclusively reported that Vince McMahon is not looking for “wrestlers,” he is looking for “characters.” We will have to see which characters he wants.
