WWE brought Retribution to television and figured things out on a weekly basis. This was interesting to watch as Vince McMahon figured out what he was doing with the new invading faction. They apparently used some ideas that they had laying around.

SaNITy was already long broken up by the time Retribution came around. According to Fightful Select, who spoke to Alexander Wolfe, WWE used ideas for Retribution that they did not get around to doing with the Eric Young led stable.

Wolfe said much of what initially happened with Retribution was actually pitched for and by members of Sanity for their Smackdown introduction two years prior.

WWE broke up Retribution during the kickoff show before Fastlane. This did not lead to much for any member of the stable. Mace and T-Bar are still on RAW and Mustafa Ali has made appearances. Fans are still waiting for Slapjack and Reckoning’s SmackDown debuts.

It turns out that fans are seeing a lot of ideas that Eric Young had for SaNITy, but it’s on Impact Wrestling through the Violence By Design faction. It’s unclear exactly what those ideas are, but WWE didn’t use them so Young is.
