WWE cut Braun Strowman from the roster and many fans were shocked to hear this news. He was just in a big match situation, but then he disappeared once again. Some fans thought that Strowman was going to return once again after a bit of time waiting things out, but that is not the case.

Braun Strowman, Aleister Black, Lana, Ruby Riott, Buddy Murphy, and Santana Garrett were all cut today. Some of those people wanted to leave the company.

According to Fightful Select, Braun Strowman had a huge contract with WWE. After the company cut him they saved $1 million a year. It was reported by talent close to the situation that Braun Strowman’s release wasn’t that big of a surprise.

It was also reported that Strowman was “very private about negotiating the deal until it was finalized.” WWE was obviously cutting people and his high-dollar contract was attractive enough to nix. There is no word on whether Strowman requested his release from the company.

Braun Strowman signed his contract in 2019 and his deal was set to last until 2023. That $1 million per year contract is now cancelled. He will continue to get paid during his 90-day non-compete clause.

In recent memory, Braun Strowman had sculpted his body and he was expressing a desire to get into bodybuilding competitions. Now he will have much more time for that project.
