The Miz was injured during that WrestleMania Backlash zombie lumberjack match. Ringside News exclusively reported WWE made 7 figures off that Army of the Dead tie-in. During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer brought up The Miz’s condition. He said that it was a partial ACL tear and not a full one. Otherwise The A-Lister would have been on crutches after going under the knife.

“He didn’t have major surgery so it looks like it was a partial tear and not a full. So, that’s a lot better. That’s not going to be 9 months off, it’ll be a lot quicker. If he had surgery at this point in time he would have crutches right now.”

The Miz hinted that he won’t be wrestling for a bit. He also teased the idea of accepting clients to mentor, almost like a managerial role. We’ll have to see how WWE uses The Miz in the weeks to come. It is possible that WWE figured out that they can still use injured Superstars even if they can’t wrestle in matches.
