Kross needs a challenger for the NXT TakeOver: In Your House event on June 13th, and this match was set to determine that man. About 20 minutes into the match, Adam Cole ran down and he took everyone out. He used a few power moves and a steel chair to get the job done. William Regal then came down to confront Cole and make him leave. That took some time through the commercial break.

That attack from Adam Cole seemed to put an end to the #1 contender match. We will have to see how NXT determines Karrion Kross’ next opponent.
