Andrade’s First Post-WWE Match Set for Next Month

Former WWE Superstar Andrade was finally granted his WWE release after WWE Fastlane back on March 21st. Andrade requested his release earlier that month but was not initially granted his release. He has a solid run in NXT where he even won the NXT Championship, but his main roster run in comparison left much to be desired.

Since his release, Andrade is more than ready to start a new chapter in his pro wrestling career. Now it seems Andrade’s first match since his release from WWE has finally been announced.

Luchablog took to Twitter and officially announced that Andrade will be facing off against Hijo Del Santo, who is undoubtedly one of the biggest stars in the Lucha libre world right now.

El Hijo del Santo versus Andrade announced for 06/12 in Anaheim, which appears to as though it’ll be Andrade’s first post-WWE match

For those who aren’t aware, Hijo Del Santo is the son of El Santo, who is undoubtedly the most popular star in Mexican wrestling history and influence can still be felt in the Lucha libre scene.

Apart from this match, Andrade is set to face Alberto Del Rio on July 31st and also Kenny Omega at TripleMania on August 14. Andrade certainly has a lot to look forward to and fans also can’t wait to see El Idolo in action once again.
