Kofi Kingston is a true veteran in the pro wrestling world after having made his debut in WWE back in 2008. He has been involved in a lot of high profile matches and is part of the history-making New Day stable. He is also a former WWE Champion.
On last week’s episode of Monday Night RAW, Kofi Kingston shockingly defeated WWE Champion Bobby Lashley in a singles match after some assistance from Drew McIntyre. Since his win, many fans have been wondering if Kingston will eventually beat Lashley for the WWE title.
It seems a veteran WWE referee doesn’t believe so. While speaking on The Wrestling Inc Daily, Jimmy Korderas was asked if he thinks Kofimania will return once again and will see Kingston become the WWE Champion once again. Korderas stated that he doesn’t feel Kingston will be dethroning Lashley for the title.
“It’s interesting, but I don’t see where this is going to go because I don’t feel that Kofi’s going to be that guy to relieve Bobby Lashley of the title,” Korderas said. “And and where does this leave the New Day? Is it completely separated now with Big E on SmackDown? You’ve got Xavier and Kofi on RAW. Do they stay together? Do you separate them and have them go their own separate ways? I like them better as a duo there, more entertaining that way. I don’t mind seeing a small little rivalry between Bobby and Kofi just to get to the next program, but at the same time, I don’t see Kofi as the guy to unseat him.”
Back in 2019, Kofi Kingston won the WWE Championship after defeating Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 35. Kingston lost the title a few months later to Brock Lesnar and hasn’t been in the main event scene since then. We wonder if Kofi Kingston will win the WWE Championship again one day.
